Meet our High School Language Arts Teacher
Naya Luna (they/she)
Naya is a Dripping Springs High School graduate who attended the University of Texas at Dallas. They earned a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and an English Language Arts Texas teaching certification. They were employed at Richardson ISD for one year teaching 9th grade English On-Level and Inclusion, then worked at Dripping Springs ISD for two years teaching 10th grade English On-Level and Honors, as well as Creative Writing.
She believes that students are best served when supported individually and plays an active role in their education. Every child is unique and deserves an environment where they can grow as learners and as human beings. Naya makes sure to focus on relationships, as she knows that a classroom’s culture and the instructor’s personality are crucial for an authentic and amiable learning experience.
During the weekends, you can find Naya at home, likely nerding out on all things psychology, philosophy, space & science, political science, economics, sociology, anthropology, gender, activism, and advocacy, while jamming out to any genre with a beat. Bluegrass to death metal, jazz to trap, surf to classical—all the same to this human.
